Practice Days

The first Wednesday of the month takes the format of a "study buddy" day where members team up in a group of two of more and practice together on an agreed program. This provides  great opportunities for support and feedback.

The third Wednesday of the month is a play day with rostered task leaders providing activities for the day.

We normally meet around 9am, settle our horses then all out some play equipment and have a byo picnic morning tea. After morning tea we begin the horse activities with a ground work play session then around 12 we break for lunch.

*** Club Campouts ***

Campouts: A weekend long campout is held once every three months at Macksville Showground. We begin arriving on friday afternoon and stay through until Sunday afternoon. It is a great chance to have "extended" time with your horse and to enjoy the social aspect of the club. It is BYO everything but we do have access to a fridge and BBQ facilities.

Camping Fees: $10 per campsite per night.

Stable Fees: $3 per horse per night.

*** Trail Rides ***

Trail rides are normally organised for the alternate Wednesday when practice days aren't on. These rides are held in various locations, usually hosted at a club members property. Trail ride fee is $2.

To help further improve our skills, clinics with natural horsemanship instructors are organised frequently by the club. These clinics are held at varied locations in the district. See Upcoming Events page for details on upcoming clinics.
